Can we buy a disc of the photographs?
No, there is no need. I always supply a DVD of high resolution images that you can print or email anywhere. You can do just about anything you want with them.
Beware of other photographers using phrases like ‘screen resolution’, ‘low resolution’ or ‘DVD slideshow’ these are useless for printing, and you will need to buy all reprints from the photographer.
Do you shoot in Colour and Black & White?
I now shoot entirely digitally. This means that all pictures are captured in colour, but can easily be converted to black & white later.
All packages come with a high resolution DVD. On it will normally be around 250 edited pictures in colour. There will also be a duplicate set of pictures in black & white resulting in around 500 pictures in total.
Are you Insured?
Yes, I am insured. It is strongly recommended that you also have your own wedding insurance.
What happens in the event of terrible weather?
The first thing to do is to try to sit out the rain indoors and try again a little later on. The quality of light just after a rain shower is amazing.
If the weather conditions really do not allow any photography outside, then studio lights can be set up inside at most venues. They are ALWAYS carried in my car along with a spare camera, lenses and memory cards.
How long do you stay for?
I only take one job per day, so you get me for as long (or as little) as you want. My basic rate includes coverage up to the end of the speeches. Typically that could mean starting at 9.30am at the bride’s home for the preparations and finishing at 6.00pm after the speeches. If you want extra coverage into the evening this is charged at £200 for 3 hours, finishing no later than 9.30pm.
Do we have to order an album before the wedding?
Lots of people are on a tight budget at the moment. I have many, many clients that book complete full day photography at £895. After the wedding they find that they can afford to stretch a little further to an album package. I am more than happy to do this, and the great news is that there is no additional charge to pay, just the price of the album!
How do you accept payments?
The easiest way to make payment for deposits or final balances is by cheque or internet banking direct transfer. Most people find it easiest to pay via their bank account directly into mine. Get in touch for account details to make payment direct into my account.
What are your Terms & Conditions
and how do we book?
If you would like to book please get in touch as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment. Certain dates book very quickly!
I usually shoot a trial portrait before accepting a job. After this I post some free prints along with a booking form. If you’ve managed to lose the form (happens surprisingly often!) or would like to read though my T’s & C’s get in touch and I’d be happy to email them over to you.
