ASHTON COURT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Becky and Matt selected one of my favourite wedding photography venues in Bristol for their September wedding. Ashton Court Mansion is situated on the edge of the Ashton Court Estate in south Bristol and provides an easily accessible wedding venue within a huge landscaped estate. Ashton Court wedding photography options are vast, with sweeping lawns, mature trees, ponds and a rose garden. A particular favourite area for wedding photography in Bristol is the paved column of trees at the rear of the Mansion house. Another massive benefit of Ashton Court Mansion is that it is just up the road from my studio in Southville!
Becky chose to get ready for her big day at her parents home and arrived at Ashton Court in a stunning vintage car with her Dad. Matt was waiting ready for his Brides arrival in the Music Room which was set up for their civil ceremony wedding. Natural light floods into the Music Room which makes it an ideal setting for a beautiful wedding ceremony.
After the wedding ceremony, Becky and Matt’s wedding guests followed them out on to the lawn for a drinks reception and some formal wedding group photographs. After a few group photographs, I took Becky and Matt down to the lower Rose garden area to get started on the Bride and Groom wedding photography. We really were spoilt for choice when it came to selecting the settings for their Bride and Groom portraits.
Meanwhile the staff at Ashton Court Mansion were turning the Music Room around for Becky and Matt’s wedding breakfast. By the time we had finished our portrait session, the Music Room had been transformed for a wonderful wedding banquet.
As the guests sat down to enjoy their wedding breakfast, I set up the Fancy Dress Portrait Studio in the hallway of the Mansion House. This meant that I was kept very busy when the evening guests arrived. I was busy all night and only stopped briefly to photograph the first dance and finally, a stunning fireworks display on the lawns after dark.
A beautiful wedding at Ashton Court Mansion and a very busy day!
